Once you have finished posting labour and materials to a manufactured job, you complete the job by transferring the finished item to your MDS stock file using the TRANSFER TO MDS menu option on the Manufactured Job Entry screen. This transfers the job combined Work in Progress (WIP) to your MDS Stock on Hand, increasing the available stock of the manufactured item.
The WIP is divided by the calculated new unit cost price per item and forms the last landed price for the MDS stock item. This also updates your average stock values.
